I’ve spent my life in the places where Nebraska works, from hospital floors and university residence halls to the State Capitol. I’m running for the Board of Regents to bring a steady, experienced voice to our state’s most important institution.

My life’s work has always been about the pillars of education and healthcare. I spent seven years working within university systems, managing residence halls while paying my own way through school. I know what it takes for a student to succeed because I’ve been there.
In my eight years as Nebraska’s First Lady, I focused on things that actually move the needle. I worked with leaders from both parties to launch Bring Up Nebraska, an initiative that reduced the number of children entering foster care by 18%. That is the same focus on results I will bring to our university system.
